Anyone remember Nickellennium


Does anyone here remember Nickellennium the documentary that was aired on Jan 1st, 2000 on

Nickelodeon?

It was a six hour long documentary that it only re-aired 4 times on Jan 1st, 2000 and never to be

aired again.

I was wondering if there's a way to get Viacom Internatinoal to re-air Nickellennium on at least

either TeenNick or Nicktoons?

I have done a MASSIVE search on google and came across one of the producer's website in which he

had just a 2 minute clip of Nickellennium.I contacted him though email and he said that

unfortunately he didn't have a copy of the whole 6 hour documentary.Then I tried to find the main

producer's email address in which her name is Linda Schaffer.So far I have came up with that

she's the owner of the Schaffer productions as mentioned here http://www.linkedin.com/pub/linda-

schaffer/b/570/367 . I came up with other sites that still mentions that she's the executive

producer of this new show.

Also I came up with this sites.

the U.S., U.K. and Australia will viewers get the whole 24 hours. Latin America will air 18 hours

As you can see at the top of the page were it says "Mail/Create Date" it says Feb.23, 2007. So

this means assuming that picture was taken not too long ago prior to Feb 23, 2007.

Not too long ago this past August I just googled "Nickellennium" to my surprise I saw a video on

youtube titled "Nickellennium (90-minute encore).Not only that I found 3 other videos related to

Nickellennium songs.

The reason I have thought of posting this was to see if anyone here has an idea of how to get

Viacom International to either re-air the whole entire documentary and or make a copy of

Nickellennium.


I have planned to start up a grassroots website to remind people for those who remembered

watching Nickellennium to write letters to Viacom headquaters in Broadway, New York to tell them

to either re-air Nickellennium and or make a copy of the whole entire 6 hour documentary.

Never heard of it till just now. I added the Youtube video to my watch later list though....along with Hocus Pocus and how to tie a tie.

I remember it. At the time, I wasn't very enthusiastic about Nickelodeon's programming going off the air for 24 hours just to show a bunch of kids talking about the future throughout the whole way through. It felt like a Nick News episode on repeat.

Also, I'm pretty sure they did air encore presentations on other days in January 2000. I remember catching bits and pieces of it on New Years Day and the encore presentations. The kids made some ridiculous predictions. One kid, I recall, predicted that ocean is going to be made out of Jell-O or something ridiculous like that.

I kind of felt the same way back then probably because I was 13 back then when Nickellennium was aired.Looking back I regret it how I did not choose to record the whole 6 hour documentary in which I just had a new VCR form my Christmas present 6 days earlier.Not only that we got a new television set for my room.But then again that 24 hour time period was when both my brother and cousin were in my room watching some other shoes including the Jetson's Marathon on CartoonNetwork.

I still remember just like it was yesterday flipping though channels every news station was talking about the New Mullennium, for at least a time span of 48 hours, and how everyone was making a huge deal out of it.

I have seen this one part where this girl is sitting in the middle of a busy street in New York City.She predicted that in the future people will have a decive in which they can talk take pictures, communicate just like a computer, in which pretty much resembles today what we have is iphones.You can type, text message, take pictures with your blackberry/iphone.
