What with the threads about shows like South park, Family guy & The Simpsons. I figured I should start one on a cartoon that dosen't get as much recogniction as it should....Drawn Together!



It's basically a cartoon version of a reality show. The cast is as follows (As they are described in the intro of the pilot episode "Hot tub"):

Princess Clara: A musical & biggoted fary tale princess. (Parody of Disney princesses)

Wooldoor Sockbat: A fucking annoying, wacky watchamacallit (Parody of Spongebob Squarepants)

Foxxy Love: A mystery solving musican with a sweet ass. (Parody of someone from Josie and the pussycats)

Xandir P. Wifflebottom: A totaly gay videogame adventurer. (Parody of Link from The legend of Zelda)

Spanky Ham: A crass internet download who farts on retards. (Parody of internet flash cartoons)

Toot Braunstine: A black & white hearthrob from the '20's, plus she's fat. (Parody of Betty Boop)

Ling-Ling: A scoicopathic Asian trading card battle monster. (Parody of Pikachu from Pok'emon)

Captain Hero: Another person in the house. (Parody of Superman)

Has anyone here seen it? If so what do you think of it. Personally I think it fucking rules!

It seems to pander to the "Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook" crowd.

It's an alright show! I know the majority of people who hate it are High School Graduates, though. It has it's moments, and it definately beats Li'l Bush and Freak Show.

That was actually brought up in "Lost in parking space, part 2" during a parody of Hostel.

i thought this show was descusting and stupid, it takes alot to descust me.

Nope. I don't think they ever spoofed either of those.

I like it. It cracks me up. But I can see why the show would be ending. Its not one of those shows that could go on for a long time.

it does have its brilliant parody moments, but all the toilet and vomit humor just holds the show back. they also have moved away from the reality show premise.

That ain't saying much.
I personally can't stand it. Its animated dick and fart jokes aimed at 8th graders with a low attention span. I have no problem with the level of vulgarity of the show, but the its just not funny.

there are some obscure, onging jokes; for example, what is up with the giant shekel coin in Captain Hero's lair? its come up in several episodes but i just dont get what they are making fun of.

who knows? it may be a nod towards Batman who keeps Two Face's giant coin in the batcave

This is how I feel about the show. Overall, I don't care for it, but it does have its moments, but I do hate most of the toilet humor in the show. It does seem to hold it back.

I still wish Xandir wasn't the main gay one, though. When I first saw the show years ago, and his character turned out to be a gay one, I was like, "No, it should be that Captain Hero dude, since he's overly straight, and would ditch the stereotype of gay dudes being meek or weak looking, or whatever." Kind of ironic how that turned out. lol

I have to agree, I saw one episode and felt like my brain cells were being fryed. That's just me though.

That episode you saw was called "Breakfast food killer". I liked the parts with Quackers getting killed, the incest gag, the intro getting cut off by a news report, Captain Hero wanting to have sex with a dead body & the boogie nights parody. It's not a great episode to watch if it's your first time seeing the show. Hell, even die hard fans said this episode was bad. Though it's bad reviews were mainly due to the fact that people thought it was a Wooldoor episode, when it was really a Toot episode.
