No. It was extremely overrated and not that funny. If you're 14 and love random humor and spend all your free time on LiveJournal, maybe. But not me. I like highbrow humor better.

I used to like it because it was slightly different to the rest of the crap on nick. it's boring now though. man you can change a lot in three years...
I personally thought it was a good show and I'm not 14. It's only overrated because of the merchandise you see at Hot Topic.

Invader Zim was awesome! It's one of the best cartoons ever. Sometimes I wish I could sit in the same room as others and watch the shows they say are crap and see if they laugh or not. You can not watch an episode of Zim and not laugh.
Brilliance here, too much so for the children at the tme. Since YCDTOTV isn't officially a Nick show, this is my all-time favorite from the channel.

Did I ever once on this forum or in this thread claim to like Ren & Stimpy or Rocko's Modern Life? I think not.
I've hated R&S for a long time, especially after I found out that the creator, John K, is a pretentious asshole. While I watched Rocko for a while, I must admit it wasn't the best animated show on TV. I was more of a Rugrats, Doug, Disney Afternoon, Pepper Ann and Weekenders kid. I was never really into the "random humor" thing.
That being said, I still think Invader Zim is terribly overrated. I caught a few episodes while Nicktoons Network reran it and I said "This is it?" It's basically in the same vain as Fairly Oddparents (FOP was terribly random and had disjointed characters), except it's created by Jhonen Vasquez, an underground comic artist, which somehow makes it "edgier" and "hipper" than Butch Hartman's cartoons. "Edgy" and "hip" seems to appeal to the Hot Topic crowd, thus why the show is insanely popular.

I love Invader ZIM. It's like one of the best Nicktoons (perhaps even one of the best cartoons for that matter). It's too bad Nickelodeon cancelled it because they thought it was too violant for the kids, that's probably when Nickelodeon has really been going down the hill (not to mention that almost all the shows that premired after that sucked.) At least I didn't completely lose hope in Nickelodeon after that, I completely lost hope in Nick after TeeNICK introduced Unfabulous.
I love Invader ZIM when I was younger :)

I enjoy Invader Zim as well. It was one of the last good Nicktoons that I have ever watch on that network.:)

They weren't random. I think America has forgotten the meaning of random.
I was late on this show, having just recently watched a couple of episodes. From what I've watched, I really like it. I'll probably end up buying the whole set, which is fairly cheap.
I have never heard of this show. From what I've read, it seems like a show you either love or hate.

jhonen vasquez has made previous works as comic books, and his style is translated completely over to invader zim, minus the graphic violence and profanity, and i like his work
