HHH and Bret Hart. It's hard to pick just one.

        John Cena....

        No I am kidding.

But it's hard to just determine who's the "best" of all time especially since in wrestling, there are so many things to based it off. Sure guys like Bret Hart was a great mat wrestler who put a lot of effort into making his matches "believeable" but a guy like Hulk Hogan was more entertaining, truth be told, Hogan was able to get a bigger reaction back in his heyday by simply putting his hand next to his ear than a guy like Hart wrestling a good match. The Rock is probably the all time best example of a guy who was able to do both very well.

A tiny bit of topic here, but if we were disscussing greatest wrestling managers of all time, could anyone else besides Bobby the Breain Heenan be considered better?

We all have our favorites but for me, I was a huge fan of Hogan as a kid and despite the sad fact that he comes off as a total douche to me these days, he'll always still be a huge part of my childhood. Also I am a huge fan of Undertaker, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Steve Austin and (pruley for the fact that he was entertaining, even if he wasn't so great in the ring) Ultimate Warrior.

But if I had to choose out of that list, I would probably have to lend towards the Macho Man Randy Savage.

Owen Hart. Hands down. He has the ability to play a heel which can be very hard to do. Plus he had some of the greatest wrestling manuevers and knowledge in the locker room. Even though his untimely death was a huge tragedy the fact the he was overshadowed by other wrestlers particularly his brother Bret, is a great shame to Vince especially when you consider that Owen stayed with the WWF even after his family jumped ship to WCW.

Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Undertaker, Jake the Snake, Million Dollar Man Ted Dibase... It's hard to pick just one and just for the record I do consider Bobby the Brain Heenan the greatest manager ever as well!

I don't think Bobby the Brain Heenan has a real equal when it comes to being a wrestling manager, I don't know how anyone would be able to argue that.

Though, it should be noted that if Owen did jump shipped over to WCW along with his family, he would of still be overshadowed, especially since WCW was still on the nWo kick. Heck even older brother Bret, who was fresh off the infamous "montreal screwjob" was overshadowed by that neverending storyline. But if Owen had jumped shipped, than he probably would still be with us today.

Mine would be "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Hear me out.

I moved to the U.S. from Scotland when I was 11 and got a lot of crap in school, dunno-Guess they thought the accent was funny combined with me being rather introverted and being a little guy with glasses. Not too long after, WWF became "trendy" to watch. Seemed most of my antagonists liked Hulk Hogan. The guy who didnt take any crap from him? Yup, A fellow Scot. (OK, I didn't stop to question why a guy from Glasgow had a Canadian accent) I somewhat emulated him as a defensive mechanism, using it to learn to stand up for myself. Got in a few fights and eventually, the BS stopped.

Obviously, I got it through my head it was fake, but part of me looking back always wanted to thank him for providing that inadvertent example for me.

I would 100% agree that LOD/Road Warriors are the greatest tag team of all team (even though some tag teams were better in terms of actual mat wrestling like the Rockers for example), they're probably the Hulk Hogan of tag team wrestling,

But since this thread is about the greatest wrestler, as in I assumed single wrestler, I don't believe either men would make the cut.

Greatest in my opinion would be from the past Ed Strangler Lewis , Bruno Samartino , Lou Thesz , Jack Brisco and Harley Race just to name a few. From my generation 80's on Flair Hogan Austin The Rock Triple H Undertaker HBK and yes even Cena he has been the constant on WWE programing for the past 10 years. My favorites of all time are Jericho Benoit and Dynamite Kid.

As a team "The Powers of Pain" win my vote but I want to give special mention to Terry Szopinski as "The Warlord". This guy was no actor, he was serious business in the ring and his goal was to dominate his opponent.
