The Nightmare on Elm Street series certainly went down after the third.

saw, scary movie after the first one, home alone after the second one, pretty much most horror series that go beyond a third chapter (Jason X anyone?)

Howabout "The Never Ending Story"? I mean, it never ends. It just goes on and on.

I wonder if I can sue that movie company for false advertising for "The Never Ending Story". I mean, I think I saw credits at the end.

Actually I'm surprised that no one hasn't tried to sue them yet. You know how stupid people in America try suing companies for crazy crap just for free money and all the laywers who feed off of it.

What made me post that was a topic on The Consumerist (http://consumerist.com). David Pogue, writer for the New York Times and Macintosh fan, pointed out that the clips from the latest National Treasure movie were shown on TV, but a good number of those clips were not shown in the movie itself. He thought that someone might file a lawsuit due to false advertising. I pointed out that the same thing happened years ago with the movie "Twister"; whereas the cow flying in the air before the trailer showed the credits had not appeared in the movie at all. I totally agree with you about the frivolous lawsuits though. I think I saw a website about the Stella Awards; which are awards given to companies and individuals that sue other people and companies abut are just frivolous. It originated from the douchebag who spilled McDonald's hot coffee on herself and sued McDonald's for it and won.

The Consumerist just posted an article about recent chocolate manufacturers price-fixing their products. They also made a joke that references this about a Nestle $100 GRAND bar only costing less than $1 in most cases. :)

Oh, and check out my article, "From Kid to Teen". Chk! Chk! (winking one eye and giving thumbs-up).

                      Haha....what? :o

Back to the Future jumped the shark after the SECOND movie.

Rocky sucked. Karate Kid was more impressive.

Pirates 3 was decent, I just hope they don't push it too far. It needs to end, eventually.

Indiana Jones.....don't know yet. I'll have to make a determination at the end of the 4th movie. After I saw Last Crusade for the first time, I was like....there's no way this'll be the last movie...they're immortal now. Guess I was right.

ROCKY!!!! I was so hoping that it was just a sad little joke.
I personally cannot wait to see Indiana Jones. "The Last Crusade" is my favorite and I bet this one is going to rock.

They definitely need to stop adding to the "Scary Movie" franchise, considering each and every one of them suck.

I'm also tired of seeing "Harry Potter", "Friday the 13th" & "Saw" (the first one was great, everything after not so much).

Land Before Time. There are so many now that they've literally stopped numbering them.

It did, didn't it? I thought the third movie was supposed to be the final film of the series.

Too bad for the upcoming one, so far, the only original character there is Harrison Ford. It would be nice if Sean Connery would be in it, even for a cameo, but I heard he turned down doing anything for the movie since he's "retired" now. Makes sense, though. I don't recall seeing the character of Sallah either for the cast for the upcoming film.

If they would've done this movie earlier (it was contracted to be done), maybe Denholm Elliot could've been in it to continue playing Brody (he was my fav too), but he died back in the early 90s.

Harry Potter has an excuse. There are seven books in the franchise. One movie per book. After "movie 7", there will be no more of them. As a matter of fact, movie 6 is coming out this year...which surprised me. It was mentioned in the Sunday's paper.

Marion is in it too. I'm personally glad Connery isn't in it. His character almost turned the last movie into one big cartoon. I have faith that Speilberg won't screw this up, although I'm not a huge fan of Shia Lebeuf being in it. His coked up acting style ruins every movie he's in for me.

Hellraiser - after number 3 it was getting pretty ridiculous. I didn't even know they had kept making them until I saw Hellraiser 6 (SIX?!!?) on Encore. It wasn't that bad, in fact it was pretty damn funny!

Jaws - though I never actually made it to number 3.

I really liked the third movie because of Sean Connery. It had action, adventure, and comedy. It was a nice combination of the three.

I'm still contemplating on whether or not to go see it. I don't like to judge a movie before seeing it...but knowing that Shia Lebeuf is in it isn't really helping matters. My problem is that he's typecast for me. I still see him as Louis from Even Stevens no matter what he does.

Does National Lampoon's movies count?? Because anything post Chevy Chase is a waste of time and money.
