I only stop by now every few months or so to see how the site is evolving but I was shocked when I saw tv show intos like "Sofia the First" being uploaded. Since when is 2013 retro?

2013 isn't retro and won't be until at least 2028.
You are right to be concerned, nothing from this century has any business being called "retro" particularly not 2010 onwards.

On that note, it's a shame that 2013 content can appear on a retro site but there is plenty of good content from 1998-2004 that is hard to find anywhere on the internet, if it exists at all. 2000-2004 is in a hard spot being before the YouTube days, yet not old enough to be well documented on retro sites.

The 90s are great, but in terms of having something to enjoy I've been starting to move on to the early 2000s (the early 2010s don't have much good to choose from) but 2000-2004 was before YouTube and post-retro so it's seemingly in an unlucky position. Sure, there's content out there but there is a show from 2001 that I can't find a single episode for anywhere on the internet and another from 2001 plus yet another from 2004 that I can't even find a logo for - that's how bad the drought is.

Have you ever heard of common sense?
Something else to note is that this is not a new development. Back in the 2009-2010 area, when the only options available were 70s, 80s and 90s, it wasn't uncommon to look at the quote box and see a quote from an 00s TV show ("That's So Raven" was on the site while still on the air, for example). I recall there were a lot of complaints then, too.

I'm not surprised that there were complaints. In 2009/2010 retro would've been 1980-1995. Techically, anything from the 2000s is after 1995.
