They are both awesome, tough to choose. South Park sometimes has the slight edge in that it can be more controversial, being on cable and all. I think though that Family Guy has made me laugh more.

Both shows are great in their own way.
I like both as well but Family Guy gives me honest-to-goodness belly laughs at least once per episode.
South park hands down, its tackled more controversial issues over the years than family guy. Honestly i think its just funnier than family guy.

I thought the last season of South Park was one of their all time best actually. I like South Park and Family Guy but I like South Park alot more. Also, I'm with Pixies, I think Family Guy was better in it's first few seasons.

There is no way to compare them because they are both good in their own special way. I love both but lately have been watching Family Guy more.
South Guy and Family Park are both equally wet down gorgeous.

you know whats funny, my favorite episode of south park is cartoon wars. and i also love family guy. but i think i will take a different turn on this and just pick the boondocks.

You forgot to mention such great shows as Park Guy and Family South. Park Guy is kinda creepy.
Park Guy is okay. South Guy I think has better plot devices.
Southpark. I don't think I have ever seen Family Guy start to finish.
My vote goes to South Park. I don't find Family Guy all that funny any more. Plus, the shots that South Park took at Family Guy were pretty much dead on.

well, I don't really watch or like South Park
and Family sometimes goes beyond what is funny
but Family Guy makes me crack up and there are things that I do like about it:
it makes extremely funny parodies of various characters, shows etc. and we all know some of these things just need to get made fun of(probaly the reason why I watch FG, to see the parodys)
I like how Stewie, besides the fact that he is a genius, still responds to his baby growth in such unknowing ways and handles them very funny

Personally I don't think South Park is a patch on The Bramble Wars but considering how that all ended in bizarre obscurity I'd say Family Guy wins on average with much ease.
South Park. Not only is it funny, but beneath the humor is a pretty insightful point. It's funny and it crosses a lot of lines (more than Family Guy- look at the ending of "Scott Tenorman Must Die"), but underneath all that, they're actually trying to say something intelligent. There's an idea behind each episode, and they absolutely NAIL that idea each time. ANd they actually manage to weave an entertaining story around the humor.
Family Guy is a bunch of random, stupid jokes. Which admittedly are funny, but that's all it is. It doesn't earn its laughs the way South Park does. I still kind of like it, though.
