I read somewhere that writer Justin Marks with producer Joel Silver and Warner Brothers have aquired the rights from Mattel last year to "He-Man and The Masters of the Universe" to be a new movie. It has been greenlighted thanks to the successes of other recent 80's animated show movie revivals like "Transformers" and "TMNT", i hear they are planning on making not one but three movies.

Casting and filming should start this summer with a release date of summer 2009! i hear it's gonna be in the vein of "Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars", "300" and "Sin City" of bringing the beloved 80's cartoon to life better then the Dolph Lundgren dud. It could be the next fantasy epic trilogy since LOTR!

I believe Guillermo Del Toro should be the executive producer on this project and with possible ideal directors like the Wachowski brothers, Neil Marshall ("The Descent") or Zack Sydner to do this movie.

The only problem with these three parters is that the first one had better do well at the box office or you'll get stuck with Mortal Kombat II quality sequels.

I notice you cast Jessica Biel as Teela. I hope she can play the part. Last I heard she was going to play Chun Li in the new Street Fighter movie.

Not sure I just am tired of all the cartoons being made into films. But yeah I hope its better than the old He Man film. Sure I liked it when I was seven lol.

The old He-Man is classic. Not sure how it relates to He-Man in any way, but what a ride! Love the flying surf boards.

Your cast was great except your choices for Skeletor, She- Ra and Hordak. I personally will play She- Ra. You see I used to play She-Ra in my backyard when I was a child and I even had my own sword. I already know the part. I will buff up a little and get a long blonde wig. I will have to make myself just a little taller too but I can make this work. Also my old family dog Pound Cake will play Swift Wind he totally knows that part. He has been dead since 92' so I will have to find a way to bring him back to life. I couldn't properly play She-Ra without him. No, seriously I don't see Sarah Underwood or Scarlett Johanson playing that part. Yes She-Ra was very pretty but the actress who plays She-Ra has to be beautiful and have that powerful look too. Your choice of Brande Roderick wasn't bad but she still seems so girly girl. I guess costume and make up would make her look tougher.

How about Lucy Lawless for She-ra. Assuming lilginger is busy and Lucy Lawless isn't...

Yes thats who should play She-ra! Just give her a blonde wig or bleach her hair. She would be perfect. Yeah I might be busy at my mansion entertaining Keanu Reeves, Ryan Gosling, Clive Owen Dane Cook and Christian Bale. Can't tell you what would be going on. I don't want to start a scandal you understand. TMZ is always following me!

there is a huge possibility of failure for this film. Don't get me wrong i am so excited about it i can't wait but i could really suck. lets keep our fingers crossed.

Well "TMNT" and "Transformers" were very successful! while "Alvin and The Chipmunks" was decent, i'm sure this will please fans of the MOTU universe.

I'd see WETA to do some of the special effects with Rick Baker or Stan Winston doing the make-up effects.

Cristopher Lee has to be the bad guy in every movie. Plus he wouldn't have to wear much make-up to play Skeletor.
