Lots of comedians hail Jonathan Winters as the king of improvisational comedy. And yet as a kid I was struck by the number of characters Jonathan created that reminded me of Red Skelton's TV show from the 1960's.
And don't forget that Mr. Winters starred in that wonderful comedy film "The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming!" from 1966:
