Fuck High School Musical. Reality TV sucks anyways.
I thought they already did reality stuff with this. Every time I turn to Disney, sometimes, they're talking about high schools that are putting on the play and students trying out for it.
DAMMIT. NO.

Out of curiosity, why do you people hate High School Musical so much? It's for tweens and stuff anyway. I don't get the hatred for something you're probably too old to enjoy.
What makes HSM any different from any other Disney movie where singing was involved or a series that came across as being a "musical", like Rogers and Hamerstein's Cinderella [the 60s version popped into mind for me] or even The Wizard of Oz?

I don't have a problem with Musicals, SSJ Jup81. It's just that it annoys me that the fact that girls (Even boys! :oops: ) think that High School is really going to be just like that! (Which of course, it's not!)

No offense, but any kid who expects high school to be like a work of fiction, can't be too bright. That's like a kid watching Mary Poppins as a kid, and expecting his/her babysitter to take him/her on crazy trips where he/she can fly and break into song and dance with the local garbage man in the street.
Seriously, don't you think kids deserve a bit more credit here where this is concerned? I can understand very very very young children, but not the audience HSM is actually aimed at.

I don't know about you guys, but high school was exactly like the Breakfast Club for me.
As someone who has been a part of reality TV, even I'm getting a little fed up with all the ideas. Here's hoping no network picks this up (even though I know Disney channel just might.)

Um...it said right in the article that ABC was going to air it, with reruns to be shown on the Disney channel. And I would be shocked if there wasn't a High School Musical cartoon on the air within the next year.

ABC is owned by the Rat. They'll have more of an exposure with a network than a basic cable channel.
