93, holy hell. high school was a bit of a speedbump in my life for me. i didn't make as many friends as i did in the past, and my parents didn't seem to show the school board any information about me when i first started, so i was put in normal classes right away

                2000-03

Really got into 80's music during 6th grade.
I brought back long sleeved t shirts at my middle school.
                I bought fifteen street atlases.

I entered JR high right around the end of the 20th century. It was by then that I had really gotten into the Beatles and purchased the "1" album with all of their #1 hits. Here's a funny fact: I had heard most of their better known songs on Radio Disney back when it was good. I also remember getting my N64 one of those Christmases (we're talking 1999-2000 here). Let's see...it was also the year of the closest presidential election in history, Bush vs Gore.

Good grief! Most of you are young as hell! I went to JR high in 1984. I don't remember much from that year though.

Obsessed with Earthbound all three years. I also got into the Matrix and Star Wars in seventh and eighth grade, respectively.

I still remember [adult swim]'s line-up in the summer of seventh grade... Family Guy, Futurama, back-to-back ATHF, Inuyasha, Case Closed, and Lupin III... I used Inuyasha as a break, but that aside these were all some of my favorite shows at the time, the last two being my absolute favorites.

AliceInChains, we were in junior high around the same time, so I remember a lot of the same stuff as you.

                        Nirvana - Nevermind

                        Beavis and Butthead

Conan O'Brien - (I don't know why, but for some reason I just happened to be watching it when the first episode aired, and have watched it since)

The Jon Stewart Show (when he was actually funny and not just doing political humor and bad George Bush impressions)

Reebok "Pumps" - I don't know when they actually came out, but they were real popular when I was in J.H.

                        Lorena Bobbit

                        World Trade Center Bombing

                        The Crow opened in theatres

The O.J. Simpson murder and trial

                        The Baseball strike

                        .....I could go on forever.

I forget what the titles correspond to, so I have to ask: What grade(s) is considered junior high? Once I find out, I'll be able to answer the question this thread posits.

At my school it was grades 6-8. Although some schools have 9th grade at junior highs also.

A bunch of shitty bullshit. Bad music, bad fashion...boy bands and Puff Daddy and Titanic. I was the "freak" in my class, trying to hold onto the good 90's as it was dying. The only really good thing was Daria was on TV. There's a pic of me from my 8th grade yearbook in my profile, the black and white one (yes, holding a Teletubby).

Then Columbine happened in 8th grade...school turned even more into a prison.

My junior high days were rough. My dad died in the 6th grade, and by the time the 8th grade I came around, I was so fed up with the insults and humiliation that I threatened murder towards a bunch of students. I wouldn't go back to junior high if you paid me.

I loved middle school (6th-8th), well until I was sent to a different school for being "bad" for most of 7th grade and a small bit of 8th grade, then I came back to my old school......had fun again, then I moved, had to go to ANOTHER school, which wasn't that good, but I enjoyed Jr High better than High School.
