Do you consider yourselves as 1980s kids or 1990s kids. These kids born in the mid 1990s refuse to call themselves 2000s kids even though they actually are.

    I was born in November 89 I'm a 90s kid right?

I never considered my self a 80 kid since I was born at the end.

I think a kid born in 1994 can be considered a "90's and 2000's kid", since they'd at least remember the late 1990s, but I think somebody born in 1995 or later is a pure 2000's kid. But then again, who cares? Let's not feed the trolls.

I was born in 1980 so I'm a late 80's "kid" but a 90's teenager etc... And yes it's very sad when these kids that were born in the mid 90's are trying to hold on to a decade they weren't even old enough to "really remember" I mean are the 2000's really that fucking bad? I had so much fun in the early 2000's going to down to all the the clubs when I turned 21 going to bars for the first time but I don't talk about the 2000's because it's not retro. But this decade has been cool, but I do remember when I was a teenager in that 13 - 16 age group and thinking man I want to be old etc... So I think these kids that are on here are doing the same. But I mean holy shit I just saw a 12 year old on here I mean a fucking 12 year old... I was having sex when that fucker wasn't even alive... I can't have a conversation with a 12 year old.

Hell there's 8 year olds on here too. I was born in 1977, there would be no way I can be a 1970s kid since I was only 2 when the 70s ended. I don't see anything wrong with this decade, either. They must hate this decade that much so they'll consider themselves 1990s kids.

Does it even matter? We have so many threads about this exact thing. Why does it bother you if someone claims to be an 80's or a 90's kid?

                I was born in 1989, I consider myself a 90's kid.

That's the only thing I can see, they must really hate this decade so there trying to pretend there something there not... I mean If I was born in 1983 I wouldn't consider my self a 80's kid when if I spent my school years in the 90's... But I did go to school up till 3rd grade in the 80's So I consider myself a late 80's kid. But my god these kids today have it easy, fucking futristic video games, internet access at there finger tips... I mean hell I remember a time when there was no internet these kids don't remeber a time before broadband...

I don't hate this generation at all. Im glad to be part of the 2000's. I consider myself a 90's kid because I watched 90's television, when it turned gay in the 2000's I didn't watch Nickelodeon anymore. I was more of a kid in the 90's, and a teen in the 2000's. I don't think anyones trying to deny anything.

Everyone I know who was born in 85 considers themselves 80's and 90's kids.
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

My brother was born in 1983 but considers himself to mainly be a 90s kid since those were the years where he did the most.

Bingo! That's what I'm talking about, how does a person even remember up until 4.

I was born in early '86 and i have a handful of memories from when i was about 3 and 4 but so i'm an 80's toddler, 90's child.

But you remember the 90's well, someone born in the fucking mid 90's might be a 90's toddler like you said but I wouldn't even consider them a 90's kid.

Same. It'd be ridiculous for me to claim to be an 80's kid when I was born in 86.

It is pretty ridiculous for someone born in 85 to say they're an 80's kid, but I think a lot of people do just because they liked the decade. I really don't care either way. I think it's what you're into that really counts. I wouldn't call myself an 80's kid, but I do like a lot of the 80's pop culture.

I can only say both. It's just... dumb to say that I don't have the same memories as both 80s and 90s children. Last year I was living with a Freshmen born in 1988 and she didn't know anything we talked about. But as a toddler during that time, I remember quite a lot.
