People are telling me I should join Facebook, but I don't want to. I had a long abandoned Myspace account in the past, so what the hell, I guess I may join, even though I don't feel like it.

I joined Facebook out of necessity; my friends from high school insisted that it was the best way to keep in touch. I have one now, but a lot of it still baffles me. For example, the "Applications" part. I tried putting in a few, but my computer got so many viruses afterward that I haven't put in any more. Also, the "invite friends to do stuff" part is extremely annoying. No, I don't want to find out what my movie IQ is, thank you.

I forgot I had a Facebook account. I don't see whats so great about it. My cousin added me to hers and I told her that she reminded me that I had one.
In all honesty, I signed up for Facebook about two years ago to keep in contact with all the assholes I graduated with and ogle pictures of chicks I crushed over all 13 years of public school.
What the heck IS it with Facebook? Myspace is so much easier to maneuver around yet all my friends tell me facebook is so much better. Honestly, I keep forgetting I have a facebook account until I get an email saying someone has pelted me with silly puddy or something lame like that.

Yeah I know. I don't get it. I don't see whats so great about it. I haven't put any effort into my Facebook account. I have one pic up and thats it.
And everyones pictures are so small, you can barely see them.

I don't see how Facebook could get any simpler. Just take the site tour before you log in/sign up.
As for the applications, just ignore them.

I had a Facebook account, I've been using it to find a friend I didn't hear of for over ten years, he's an army brat, you see the picture. Well, once I found him and we exchanged our e-mail adresses, I closed my account. I didn't see why I should keep that account when I already found what I wanted.

If you need a site tour when you sign up, it's not very user friendly. People like things that are easy for them to understand upon looking at it. And its just got a very poor layout for understanding.
Facebook is a lot easier to navigate than myspace. I really only use facebook to quote movie lines with my buddies. :lol:

I dunno, I just feel like I can do so much more with my myspace page than I can with facebook. And people's pictures are pretty small, it sucks. However, there must be something to it since so many people seem to enjoy it. Although if one more person superpokes me I think I will scream lol.

Here's how I think it works when it comes to sites like Facebook/Myspace:
As a eighth grader/HS freshman, you wanna feel cool and grown up and get a Myspace like everyone else to fit in. Then as a junior and senior, you see all the underclassmen CONSTANTLY talk about Myspace, so you wanna feel more grown up like your college friends, so you get a Facebook. And then once you're done with HS and college, you don't have anytime for either one and feel that you have no need for it, so you simply go for email.
So NOW I understand people's dislike for Facebook. I could be totally dead wrong :roll:, but that's how I see it.

I don't have either Myspace or Facebook. I agree with DMoney89.
LOL!!!!! I don't have a myspace or a facebook either. I always thought they were stupid.
i like facebook , i have found lot of old friends from school using facebook. it is also great for sharing pictures of my daughter with my friends that i don't get to see often.
and i think facebook is way easier to navigate than myspace. i have a myspace account but i rarely log in.

For me, myspace was how I found all the highschool friends and how I shared pictures and what not. It seems as though no one e-mails anymore. Now it seems like people would rather chat on AIM than do the whole "Re:Re:Re:Re:" thing in myspace haha.

I was really into the AIM scene in middle school. Then high school and Myspace came around and that was the end of that...

lol I've done the conversations in comments as well. Myspace works well for me because i'm so damn far away from everyone.When they are in Maine and I am in Guam it feels like I couldn't get much further away.
