Horse racing is a cruel and pathetic sport. Look at today's Kentucky Derby:

The only reason certain people give a shit about horse racing is because of the gambling. They profit off of the poor horse and once it's dead they just find a new/better one and profit off that. Greedy sons'a bitches.

I agree. Horse racing is a way for a bunch of old people to get rich off of breeding and eventually killing horses off like poker chips. How and why it's so "prestigious" is beyond me. Open your eyes, ESPN.
Totally agree with you Saruman_w, I hate when they exploit animals like that.
I hate any type of animal racing, I see it as cruel.

I personally never even cared for horse racing
I also don't like dog or animal shows.

I think horse racing is rather archaic, and in many ways it's crueller than dog breeding. The gambling aspect also makes me uncomfortable--I don't like it when gamblers benefit off peoples' suffering, much less animals'.
oh poor horses, now lets all enjoy some meat and wear some leather because it appears naturally and no harm comes to animals.
Horse racing? If you're going to hate an animal sport, hate bull fighting. Those horses get the best care and treatment their entire lives. Then they run a 2 minute race every once in a while. Once their career is finished, they breed and live out their lives in green pastures. It's unfortunate when they get injured, but their trainers want to keep them alive and well for as long as possible. There is no profit in a dead horse. In some ways, I feel worse for the anorexic jockeys.
On a side note, the Kentucky Derby is the weekend of my birthday and we always watched it at my parties when I was a kid.
