Hey y'all!! I just finished watching the prequel Star Wars trilogy over the last week in preparation to watch the original trilogy with my aunt this week. I really wanted to watch all six films last year for the 30th anniversary, but I don't know what happened. Life can be a busy thing...Anyhoo, I'm glad I finished the first trilogy so I can start the classics!!! I've seen all these epic films many times but I've never tried to watch all six in a short period of time.
In the spirit of this monumental event of mine, I've decided to create a top 20 list of my all time favorite Star Wars characters. Which characters do you like most??
20. Jar-Jar Binks (at least he's better than Captain Panaka the "Negative Nancy"...)

I'm with ya on this one. My feelings for Jar-Jar Binks have mellowed. Or maybe I'm really old!
Yo, I love Han, but even I'll say he's overrated. One time they had a list of like the top 100 heroes and villains, and Han Solo was pretty high on the heroes, but Luke Skywalker wasn't even there! And he's the fucking main character (not counting the prequels which have made the story center around Anakin)! Seriously, Luke needs more love.
Great list, although I think Luke should be ahead of R2-D2 cause that way R2 is right next to C-3PO. :)
I also agree that Jar Jar Binks (annoying as he might be sometimes) is still worthy enough for this list, but only if he's dead last.

Luke Skywalker is a whiny little bitch, just like his father was before his robotic and respiratory "improvements". Han Solo is definitly #1, with Vader as a close second. I don't even consider Vader and Anakin as the same person since they are so drastically different.

Funny you should mention the Max Rebo band for my countdown. I almost put every Star Wars fan's favorite blue elephant guy at number 20, but I instead awarded that spot to Jar-Jar Binks because even though he is considered the most hated character of the entire saga, he is still memorable and infamous for this reason.
I'm sorry you don't agree with my placement of Han Solo. I still like the guy, but not nearly as much as his co-pilot Chewie, the droids, Threepio and Artoo, or Luke. If it helps out, I still tear up every time he and Leia share their bittersweet romantic moment at Cloud City before he is frozen in carbonite to be delivered to Jabba the Hutt by Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back.
