Was this movie as good as the other Indiana Jones films?

No way. I was very disappointed. The movie was way to over the top (probably more over the top than the first 3 Indy movies combined), and had lots of very cheap looking CGI. They also threw a lot crap in for some cheap laughs like the prairie dogs at the beginning and the part where the kid is swinging through the trees with the monkeys like Tarzan. Also the plot -

I felt it was going good then BAM! freakin alien skulls, come on
I enjoyed it myself and thought it was like the others.
I not sure about seeing this movie. It didn't get good reviews (Sorry for sounding wishy-washy)

I liked it and was feeling nostalgic for the other films. I bought Raiders and Last Crusade and was surprised how much better they were than the "crystal Skull". So I would have to say good, not great.
Pretty good, not great. A lot of stuff to enjoy here, but it just didn't have the same "feel" as some of the earlier films.

Yeah, I just saw this earlier and I agree with everything you said. I didn't hate this movie, but I didn't like it either. Shia Lebouf(sp?) is terrible. This is easily the worst Indiana Jones flick.

I've seen it. i did like it bare in mind it was nearly 20 years ago since the last one came so it's bound to be different but Harrison Ford can still pull it off after all these years. Plus his dad is mentioned which was good. But on the whole it was a good film.
Overall, it was pretty good and definitely better than Temple of Doom, but the ending was just dissapointing and weird.

I thought it was very good. I mean it's not as strong as the first 3, but it was still exciting to watch. 19 years was a very long wait and I was very young when I first saw the "Last Crusade" at a drive-in with my family before it was closed.
I thought the plot build-up was really rushed, and not even very good besides that. It was more campy, cheesy and unrealistic than the others (which I liked about the other Indiana movies), but to an extreme where it kind of ruined it.
My husband loved it though, and is planning on seeing it a second time in the theaters.

i think if i would have read that they had aliens in it i wouldn't have gone to see it... the 3rd movie to me will always be the best out of them all...
Nope.For me the movie sucked as hell.Not one bit of it amused me.
I loved it. It wasn't as good as Ark or Crusade but definitely fits in with the series just fine. I place it 3rd out of 4 with Temple in last place. There were a couple things that I didn't quite like...the vine swinging for instance (Lucas should have stayed out of it)....but overall it was a great effort.
the movie was good, but the ending was just weird. i wonder where this demension, which they didn't want to go to, went to :?

Preety good, so far better then the weak black sheep known as "Temple of Doom" but not as great as "Raiders" or "Last Crusade".
It was great, aside from one thing...
