Kimbo's street fights were entertaining though. One dude had his eyeball hanging out.
I don't care for the UFC that much. The talent pool is too small. It's mainly just average white fighters from the US.
Pride is where its at. There's a reason why Chucky Iceman didn't last long there.
gotta disagree with you there, brother. PRIDE consisted of a bunch of lowly Japanese guys getting the ever-loving shit kicked out of them by whatever Brazilian Jujitsu fighter they put them up against. Dan Henderson and Quentin Jackson got their starts there too, but both have been successful in UFC (especially Jackson, the current Light Heavyweight champion who beat Henderson for the unified PRIDE and UFC title). Talent comes to the UFC and is rewarded with huge payoffs. True, there's a lot of drama going on behind the scenes, especially with Dana White running things and fighters running into contract issues here and there, but it's definitely the best fighting organization out there these days, and it's loaded with talent.
Eh, I'm going to use reverse logic on you and say that those two guys lost many more fights in Pride and only got success by beating lesser opponents in the UFC. Wanderlei Silva and Fidor would murder most UFC men. I agree with you about the Jap fighters, but its their home league, so of course they produced the most fodder. The Gracies were predominant in Pride. The American leagues were their after thought. You simply don't see the Russian sambo masters and other greatness fighting in UFC.
The most exciting fight I have EVER seen was Don Frye and some Jap heavyweight just way lay on each other in Pride. Granted there was no finesse, but it is what any fight fan wants to see.
Let me find a link.
EDIT: found it:
the best fight ever:

Dony Frye is every 80's American action movie come to life. Look at that 'stache!
