I was in a state of surprise when i found out, I'm worried how it will affect his commitment to the Alice sequel Pirates 5 Dr. Seuss bio with Illumination & Universal and other projects he was reported to work on
So another Tim Burton or Stephen King-adapted film featuring Depp is out of the question, huh?

Maybe a good pro to prove he should not retire yet
It's his decision. If he wants to stop making movies he should. I wish I could stop doing my stupid job but I can't. His job is awesome. He must have a good reason to quit, something he wants to do more now.

I have no idea what you mean by that, but

Anyway, I used to know somebody who worked for him. Like as a personal assistant or something. Said he was just about the nicest guy in the world, on top of being smart, and really understanding people.

At a certain point you start thinking … when you add up the amount of dialogue you say per year, for example, and you realise that you've said written words more than you've actually had a chance to say your own words.
You start thinking about that as a kind of insane option for a human being. So are there quieter things I wouldn't mind doing? Yeah.
I wouldn't say I'm dropping out any second, but I would say it's probably not too far away.

I remember hearing about it but i did not see it since i don't do horror
Well, I THOUGHT he was retired. Now he's doing another movie called Transcendence. And another Pirates of the Caribbean movie is in the works.
