Okay for those of you who don't know Judith Barsi was a famous actress of the 80s and her life ended when her father shot her in the head while she slept. She was very famous and was actually wanted for many movie roles including Once Upon A Forest, A Troll in Central Park and We're Back A Dinosar's Story. Even Disney wanted her for future movies. Here's some more information about her so check it out.

Okay... If she was so very famous, why is it that I just heard of her?

Maybe because you weren't around or very young during the time she was?

Yeah, I didn't find out about this until a couple of years ago. She was the voice of Ducky in The Land Before Time. Her story is ridiculously sad. The system failed her and her mother. :(

I think it's because she was only doing voice work or appearing on TV shows for one episode. She was one of those child stars that didn't get her career snowballing because of her premature death. Honestly, I didn't know who she was until seeing she did the voice of the girl in All Dogs Go to Heaven.

She'd be 30 if she'd lived...and probably a leading lady in cinema today. It's a shame she had to die so young. Much respect coming from a guy who's never even appeared on television.

Oh for fuck's sake, people.....not enough celebrity deaths lately, so we gotta dig up anniversaries of half-assed celebrity deaths? Ridiculous.

Judith Barsi was never 'very famous'. She wasn't even partially famous. Not worth a thread.

Other than the numerous animated movies she provided her voice for, she was also in what is considered by many to be the worst movie of all time...Jaws the Revenge.

I heard that before she left for the Bahamas where the movie was being filmed, her father threatened to hunt her down and kill her if you she didn't come back home after filming.

I think she died way too soon.

For those of you who think it's stupid to be mourning her and are questioning her claims to celebrity, I would like to say that the reason why so many people mourn her is because they think she was talented, and they were hoping that she would be able to do more than she did.

Let me put it to you another way: If there was a musician you like on the basis of 1 EP and one full-length album, and they were to die suddenly, wouldn't you be mourning that musician's death?

Wow that is very sad indeed. I didn't she was the voice of Anne Marie on All Dogs Go To Heaven I until I looked at the credits.

I don't 'mourn' for people I don't know. I'll say 'aww, that sucks' and then move on. Bradley from Sublime is a perfect example of this.

Also, the kid died 20 years ago. It's not necessarily normal to 'mourn' for 20 years.

Okay, you don't mourn for people you don't know. That's your thing...It's what you do. It's what works for you.

There are others who think differently, though, and I think you're really giving them short shrift. Let them do their thing, too.
