There's actually some good Japanese cartoons out there if you avoid that Toonami/Jump shit, but to each their own. If you don't want to try something new, I won't bother you with examples.

The only anime I ever watched was sailor moon, pokemon and that pirate one with the stretchy kid.

Thank you for sharing. :? Some anime is very good. It has beauty, Great animation, Good story plot (Most of the time) and American cartoons are stupid now days. But I can go for spongebob once and a while

Neither am I, nor do I prefer anime over Western cartoons. I like Japanese shows like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Ouran High School Host Club about as much as shows like The Spectacular Spider-Man and Daria. Sure there may be some series from a nationality I may like more than another series from another nationality, but at the end of the day, I don't care where it comes from, as long as it's good.
