I just rebooted my computer and started firefox and all my favorites and history are gone! what the hell is wrong with this damn thing?
and people tell me not to use internet explorer.

Theres a way to get that back. Well, your bookmarks at least. And IE still sucks.
well I just re downloaded firefox(version 3, I had 2 before I guess) which looks better and didn't give me that weird "trying to load non URI page" it gave me before.

I downloaded 3 a while back. Its nice and doesn't crash.
Debris, try visiting a lot of YTMNDs. It'll crash for sure :P

Well all I know is, I used to get a trillion viruses using IE. When I switched to Firefox, ive never had any.

aw man, please dont bring up that site, I used to post on their horrible forums(it was the first forum I ever posted in)
Reboot you computer! That's what our old Russian "IT Tech" lady at my job use to tell people no matter what the problem was. If that didn't fix it reinstall the application.
Seriously the files should still be somewhere on your hard drive. Have you tried going to bookmarks, manage bookmarks and doing an import?
BTW I have both on my computer, but like IE better. There are still something about Mozilla that just doesn't work as good as IE. No security issues either.
