I live in School district X and my catholic high school is in district Y.

To get home I take a District X bus to "glenn" Elementary school from my high school. then i get off bus 139 and get on bus 150. I then take bus 150 home. I am allowed to leave my high school premisis at 2:14, at which time i get on bus 139. I do not get home until 4:00. its about 20 miniutes by car without stopping.

Has anyone else had this problem? my dad called district X's transportation office and said what can be done about this problem, and the responce given was "The District does not see this as a problem.

when i went to elemantary school(private school, within district X) i would get on bus 59 at 2:10 and be the last one off the bus and be home at 2:40-2:45

since we're SAVING DISTRICT X MONEY by me not attending a public school, yet my family is still paying school taxes, I think we should be treated better than that paper napkin you used at McDonalds last week.

Has anyone else had problems with bussing?

In the area where I live, which classifies itself as rural, we're limited by the buses that come on and every hour. For me, when I go to my job at one area in the county, I have to take one route bus and transfer to another route bus that's close to the route I live on. The only up side was that now I have a few extra hours there, my wait time to get home was cut from an hour and a half to some 40 minutes, even though it would take less than that by car (which I don't have :roll: ).

That's just not cool I mean that's definitely a problem and if I were you I would just......do something because that's ridiculous.

Maybe you should of checked the bus schedule before you chose to go to that particular school.

Good thing I walk to school. Theres no busses for my area cause I live just a 20 minute walk away from my school.

Let me get this strait, your in private school, but ride the public school bus. Around here that isn't even an option. If you go to private school you either have to travel by car, walk or take the city bus. I say your're lucky if this is the case.

BTW I think since your not attending public school they should give your parents a tax break, but it doesn't work that way.

I don't think Canadians believe in public transportation.

How annoying can you possibly BE? It'll be difficult for me if I had to walk for 20 miles as well. Thankfully I take a city bus.

my family's a little strange in the sence that we all like to EAT, we all enjoy having electricity, Phone service, Cable TV, Water etc...

and to afford those things they need to have jobs! yeah, you can't just call comcast and get free cable. it doesn't work that way.

Because of where we live, my daughter gets on the bus at 7 am and gets to school at 8am. She doesn't have to transfer to another bus but she does have to go to every school including 2 elementary schools and the senior high route before she gets dropped off.

After school is worse because after X-C practice she has an hour wait until the late bus comes, then it only goes as far as a trading post 15 minutes away. I pick her up there.

I did have a problem talking the district into picking her up at the end of our driveway when she first started taking the bus.
They wanted to pick her up a mile down the road even though they drive right past our driveway after they would pick her up. There excuse was that they wanted to reduce the number of stops. Keep in mind that we don't have sidewalks and the roads don't get plowed in the winter unless we do it ourselves. The road is so narrow that when cars pass each other, both have to get one tire off the road or they will hit each other. I didn't think it was safe especially with the morning traffic and blind corners. The school district didn't agree even though she was only 7 at the time. I just talked the bus driver into it eventually.
