I used to be real afraid as a kid of the edges of the subways, now I'm not so much afraid. Only a certain bar (which is out of reach) is electrically charged and dangerous - at least for the ones in NYC. So even if by some chance you happen to fall in to the subways when a train's not going past, you're generally okay. At least for the ones in New York City.
