Better yet, I'd suggest to the cowboy that if he listen to rap, that he dress for the occasion. Put on some loose, vinyl windbreaker pants, a Nike wristband or somethin', some sort of large bling, and a pair o' shades. Then I wouldn't laugh--well, not as hard, anyway.
