I have been using Gmail for a long time now. I switched over after having used hotmail for more than half a decade.
I still have to check my hotmail every once in a while to make sure I'm not getting something from someone who didn't know my email changed (before you ask, hotmail won't forward email to any gmail account, at least not for me).
So, I logged into my hotmail today to find they changed the style... as much as I agree that it is an improved look and layout, they basically just ripped off gmail.
I am almost certain at this point that the only thing Windows is capable of doing that is unique is sucking. When it comes to sucking, they are truly a source for inspiration.

I've had the same hotmail account for 13 years now....still use it. Checking now.
I know nothing about gmail, but I hate the new hotmail, it's way too white and boring. The old one was perfect. My dad told me how I can change it back to the original but I forget now.
I had Hotmail before but Never use it at all.
Well, the white theme you hate is the gmail look.
btw... this is the message I get when entering my gmail address for mail forwarding...
"You're only able to forward mail to a custom domain or an e-mail address that ends in hotmail.com, msn.com, or live.com. Please try again."
So, basically, they won't allow you to forward to ANY competitor email. how fucking lame.

Meh, don't like the layout? Then use an Email client like Outlook and connect to the POP3 that way.

Everyone should use Outlook tbh. You may not be able to check your e-mail everywhere, but it's much better than some shitty site that has terrible layouts (Cough Comcast, Hotmail, Gmail) and bad loading times.

he he... I like Thunderbird but Gmail is conveinent. Load time isn't bad at all, and the layout is great as far as I'm concerned.

The new design is really ugly, it looks like it was designed by a new age hippie. At least it looks like for now the features have stayed more or less the same.
