The deep bass voice... how some of us males (including yours truly) would love to speak and sing in...
Barry White (1944-2003), a legendary R&B/soul singer, is a prominent example of a male with the deep bass voice, wherein it is just that when he sings as well as when he speaks. When he speaks, it is so low a tone that some people may not understand what he is saying. Isaac Hayes (1942-2008) was another famous R&B/soul singer with a deep bass voice.
White, whose surname at birth was Carter, claims that his signature voice was inherited, overnight, when he was just 14 years old. Ah, that "loooove" growl...
Is it true that some males get the "Barry White vocal" because of something unusual happening during his stereotypical teenage growth phase (usually from ages 12 to 16)? Can males also get the Barry White vocal because of certain rare diseases (alongside those that cause early hair graying)?
