Warner Brothers is planning on making a big budget trilogy based on the novel by Stephen King but more accurate, i think this could be good.

If only they could have Frank Darabont ("Shawshank Redemption", "The Mist" and "Green Mile") as director.

This is one of my favourite Stephen King books. The original wasn't bad and fairly true to the novel. I hope this new one doesn't ruin the story!

If IT was good as a TV movie, a full fledged full motion picture would be amazing! The only question is will Tim Curry play Pennywise again? Or who else would be a good candidate?

It had better be rated R. The book gets pretty gruesome.

The answer is no. If Curry did it again he would just be ripping himself off. Why try to out do what he already did. Aside from that Warner won't want him to do it again whenever these horror movies get remade the compnies always seem to go out of there way to stay away from the actors who made the roles famous in the first place, they won't want Curry they will want someone who they think can do a better job. Problem with that is Curry raised the bar far to high for anyone to surpass.

If it is true about " IT " that is great. That is my favorite Stephen King book , I've read it about 3 or 4 times.

              We all float down here...

Ive heard of a new version a looong while ago. The problem is that IT is too long a narrative to be compressed in a single movie. The main problem with the 90s mini series was the piss-poor ending and the exclusion of some of the most explicit scenes from the novel. Other than that,it captured most of the essence of the book fairly well.

And Frank Darabont is currently making Fahrenheit 451 so it can't be him.

I'm happier about this news, than I am about a new "IT".

But, for the sake of staying on topic... meh. I liked the first one. I thought the actors were perfect, and it translated from TV to video very well. Remaking it seems kind of unnecessary.

They should take the money from this, and put it toward making "Cell" even more awesome than it's already going to be.

Fahrenheit 451 is my favorite Bradbury story and I am definitely looking forward to that.

NOT a remake but an adaptation of the book, there's a difference. Kind of like how "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" were NOT remakes of the Tim Burton Batman movies but reboots that adapts the characters of the comics better.

It's a remake. Why split hairs? They're remaking a movie about the book.
