Hong Kong Phooey was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. I actually cried when this show was cancelled so soon. His car could change into anything and in some fumbling way Hong Kong always captured the criminal. Too bad this cartoon was so short in production.

This show was okay, but I wasn't a huge fan of it or anything; I liked The Flintstones more.

I loved Hong KOng Phooey! I can't wait for the movie! I know that Scatman Crothers was a wonderful Hong KOng Phooey!

Eh, I thought it was alright when I saw this on Boomerang. I didn't know it was so short-lived.

I really loved Hong Kong Phooeey. Scatman Caruthers was an excellent voice for the character.

Another crappy Hanna-Barbera 1970's cartoon. They really went with quantity over quality during the 1970's meaning that they have produced a bunch of crappy cartoons with no substance.
BlueMario Posted 12 years 8 months ago
Hmm... This cartoon looks pretty Interesting and Good. I'm watching it on Boomerang right at this moment. You can watch this cartoon weekday afternoons at 4:00pm Only on Boomerang. It's about 90% where you can't watch it on any other cartoon channel. Along with other great Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. I give this 3 stars out of 5! ***--

RetroBen81 Posted 13 years 5 months ago
Please remove all references named "Henry" and replace them with "Penry."
RetroBen81 Posted 13 years 6 months ago
Hong Kong Phooey, when he is the janitor, is Penrod "Penry" Pooch.

What is it with 70's series like this and Filmation's live Ghost Busters that seamed to have been competing for the what were they smoking award?
avrilrocks4 Posted 13 years 7 months ago
I used to love Hong Kong Phooey! I would watch reruns on Cartoon Network in the 90's. It was great. I wish I could see it again.

Hong Kong Phooey rocked ! I remember watching this before going to kindergarten ! I also remember (vaguely) Wheelie and the choppers - maybe they have it here somewhere...
Roadgeek Posted 13 years 10 months ago
Ooh, I remember this one. Great show. Haven't seen it in several years though.
jaklumen Posted 13 years 10 months ago
I remember this show well because I had some of the children's books that were done for various Hanna-Barbera cartoons of the late '70s, including Wheelie and the Choppers-- anyone remember that show?
Athena9188 Posted 14 years 1 month ago
I've never seen this, but the intro looks halarius as hell.
DarkwingDuck4ever Posted 14 years 9 months ago
