I loved this one as a kid. I think I still own my stuffed animal. Now I'll have to go through my bags of old stuffed animals to see if it's still there.

Also, Fyne T(oo)ning, don't forget Goliath and Eliza Maza in Gargoyles.
99Centsplease Posted 12 years 7 months ago
Fyne T(oo)ning:
Truly an introspective about the consequences of bonding between different 'toon species. Notice that, after this show, Disney continued to explore the issue in some of their following cartoon shows such as "Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers (Chipmunks courting a mouse. Well, at least, she was within the rodent family.) and "Bonkers!" (a bobcat married to a deer, no less). And, of course, we shouldn't forget the Rabbits (Roger and Jessica, that is).

Hmmmm... interesting trend. Perhaps a bit of social commentary?

With that in mind, this cartoon served up a life lesson worth cherishing: just because you're told that you won't "fit in" because of your mixed origins doesn't necessarily mean that there's noone else in the world who wouldn't sympathize with your situation, and, therefore, chances are, you're bound to find a niche that's willing to accept you as you are. With that said, the show does have a certain charm about it, even if the humor was a bit raunchy at times. Also worth noting that comic actor Stan Freberg did the narration.

this show ruled i loved the idea it ruled
80sGuru Posted 13 years 8 months ago
Let's see, there is:
BumbleLion (lion/bumble bee),

Eleroo (Elephant/kangaroo),

Rhinokey (rhino/monkey),

Hoppopotamus (rabbit/hippo),

Butterbear (butterfly/bear),

Moosel (moose/seal),

Tycoon (tiger/raccoon),

Crock (crocodile),

Brat ( a pig devil thing, Crock's henchman),

Flizzard (another Crock henchman, a weird lizard thing)

Those are the main characters of the show. As you can tell, i loved this show as a child, and still love it. Is it out on DVD yet?

Thanks for editing it.

The lyrics need to be updated

HERE in the land of Wuz
They're havin' twice the fun
Cause every single thing
Is REALLY two in one
A little bit of this
A little bit of that
And when you add it up
You get a lot of LAUGHS
Ooh, they got originality
LIVIN' with a split personality
WE'RE the Wuzzles
Hoo yeah
WE'RE the Wuzzles
Ho ho, yeah
Two times the fun
Wrapped up and rolled into one
Ooh, they got originality
LIVIN' with a split personality
WE'RE the Wuzzles
Hoo yeah
WE'RE the Wuzzles
Ho ho, yeah
Two times the fun
Wrapped up and rolled
Into one

A very unique cartoon with it's own ideas. I kept forgetting that it was a Disney cartoon, though. (Not that I have anything against Disney, at that time.)
I wonder when they will produce the series on DVD?
I still have my doll of Moosel. I'm not really sure how his name was spelled. (Moose-Seal guy)
shackmom Posted 14 years 3 months ago
My brother had the bumbalion doll, too. He was 6 and loved it.
Rabid Turtle Posted 14 years 4 months ago
