Lethal Weapon 2
Release: July 07, 1989

Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh face off against Arjen Rudd - a South African diplomat who doubles as a drug dealer. Though Riggs knows what's going on thanks to witness Leo Getz, he can't touch the villain because of "diplomatic immunity." After various perils, Martin and Roger shoot it out with the heavies on the deck of a South African cargo ship. Henceforth, it has one of the best — and funniest — suspense scenes ever filmed: Martin agonizingly attempting to extricate a terrified Roger from a booby-trapped toilet seat. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover reprise their lead roles, opposite Joe Pesci, Joss Ackland, Derrick O'Connor, and Patsy Kensit. Richard Donner directs from the screenplay by Jeffrey Boam; Story by Shane Black & Warren Murphy; Based on characters created by Black. Produced by Donner and Joel Silver. Music by Michael Kamen, Eric Clapton and David Sanborn; featuring George Harrison in "Cheer Down" and The Beach Boys in "Still Crusin'". A Silver Pictures production for Warner Bros. As for Jay Engel, the co-Supervising ADR Editor: "We miss you".
