Road House
Release: May 19, 1989

Dalton (Patrick Swayze) is a famous cooler...The man who the bar owners go to when their bouncers aren't doing a good job. Lured away from a fancy dance club, he finds himself kicking ass and taking in names in a raucous small-town bar called the Double Deuce. Along the way, he falls in love with a beautiful doctor named Elizabeth Clay (Kelly Lynch) and butts heads with an evil businessman named Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara). The movie was a box-office bomb when first released in 1989, but it's gained a cult reputation among action movie aficionados and those who think that 80s movies are cheesy through extensive airings on the Turner networks (TBS and TNT) in the 90s and many airings on channels like Spike and (believe it or not) VH1 in the 00s.
