Reindeer Captain:
"[In Santa's City, the elf driver stops the carriage, with now-true-believers Princesses Crystal & Lucinda, their seal Pup, and Max Elfman & his Flying Pig, for reindeer crossing. Nine of the elves, walking along the right side of the carriage, stop in the process.]"
"♪I don't know, but I've been told!♪"
Reindeer:
"♪'cause Christmastime, it's mighty cold!♪"
Reindeer Captain:
"♪So kick those hooves and life 'em high!♪"
Reindeer:
"♪come Christmastime, we'll learn to fly♪"
Reindeer Captain:
"Left, Left! Left, right, left! Left, left!"
"[like the three elves waving from the right and the two of them from the left side, Crystal & Lucinda waves at them in the carriage.]"
Crystal:
"[as she and Eugene heading towards the Palace.] You'll be warming up the crowd."
Eugene:
"Oh.... Who else?"
Crystal:
"Break a wing, Eugene."
Eugene:
"("ha-huh-ha") Yeah; If they don't break it for me first."
Crystal:
"("he-he-hu-hah"s)"
all 6 Wing Maidens/Eugene:
"[in unison] Happy hatchday, Princess Crystal." / "*says the same quote after them*"
Maiden #1:
"Teach us how to ice dance, Princess."
Maiden #2:
"...and later you can tell us a story."
Maiden #3:
"We love your stories."
Maiden #4:
"Especially the ones with mean witches and scary pirates; (imitates pirate) Arr!"
Crystal:
"After the party, we'll have an ice-dancing, storytelling sluber party."
"[as she approaches toward Eugene, the Maidens jumps up in cheer and runs away in conversations. Crystal sighs.]"
Eugene:
"You'd rather skip it, wouldn't you?"
Cryatal:
"(sighs again) I feel so stupid at parties."
Eugene:
"Uh- Smile and wave a lot; You'll be fine."
Narrator:
"[now, 2 years (8 penguin years) later...]"
"Princess Crystal grew up smart. She was awfully nice.
She led with her heart, and She loved dancing on ice.
But-alas, poor Crystal was a bit of a klutz
when trying to perfect a maneuver called the triple lutz."
Crystal:
"[she failed the triple lutz on the twirling double] Who-ooo-ooo-oa! (moans)"
Narrator:
"They called her 'Princess Clumsy' - to her constant consternation.
But Crystal prefer to ice dance, than attend her hatch-day celebration."
"[the rhyming narrator leaves the story]"
Crystal:
"[as she see her boyfriend/jester Eugene clapping along with the cheering Wing Maidens.]
(sighs) One day I'll get it right."
All of Royal Rookery Rock:
"♪(2x) Happy Hatchday to you
You're looking real swell
Since you shattered your shell
Happy ha-aaa-atch-day to yo-ooo-ou♪"
Kid Penguin (behind the second chef):
"[the princesses, Crystal and Lucinda, have turned 8] Happy hatchday!"
Princess Crystal:
"[repeating line] This can't be good."
Baby Penguin Chick #2:
"(grunting at Baby Princess Crystal, which is held by Queen Penelope) Gr-rrr."
King Calvin:
"Oh, and you, my dear, shall be Lucinda. (Chuckles, as he grabs Baby Princess Lucinda to Penelope) Last, but not least."
Narrator:
"Little Lucinda turned many shades of green,
for only first hatched could be the future queen."
Baby Princess Lucinda:
"(blows a raspberry to Crystal)"
Baby Princess Crystal:
"(Cooing [Laughing])"
Narrator:
"[the second baby penguin chick hatches out by her hands, followed by her body]
And then, with the mightiest shriek and the shrillest shout,
the second penguin princess, chopped her way out."
Baby Penguin Chick #2:
"[hops out of her egg and walks to present herself, grunting] (imitates fanfare) Ta-da-aaa! [RRR's penguin crowd wasn't impressed] Hmm? (grunts) Gr-rrr."
Narrator:
"By law and decree, it was rather widely known,
the first chick to hatch would inherit the penguin throne.
[the first baby penguin chick starts to hatch out of the egg by her head]
And though that chick arrived, mere seconds before her twin,
as soon as she was out…
[RRR's band is playing a fanfare] she tried to crawl right in."
Male Narrator:
"[opening the story]
Once upon a time, in the South Pole, to be exact,
at the bottom of the world, where freezing is a fact.
On the snowy island where penguins love to flock,
a colony of penguins stood at Royal Rookery Rock.
For the penguin king and queen had recently been blessed
with two perfect eggs, upon their royal penguin nest."
