The Breeders' Cup is an annual series of Grade 1 Thoroughbred Horse Races in America, operated by Breeders' Cup Limited, a company was formed in 1982. The event was inaugurated in 1984. NBC Sports broadcast the event from 1984 to 2005. In 2006 and 2007, ESPN televised the event. From 2008 to 2012, the events was televised on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. In January 2012, NBCSN began broadcasting the event, except for the classic which would be televised by NBC Sports.
