Never Say Never Again
Release: October 06, 1983

In this remake of "Thunderball", Sean Connery plays James Bond for the final time. Bond has been losing his touch, so it's off to a health retreat for him. An attempt on his life during his efforts at rejuvenation send him off to confront enemies old (Blofeld, by Max Von Sydow) and new (Largo, played by Klaus Maria Brandauer). Things to watch out for and listen to: -2 hot Bond Girls: The good Domino Petachi (Kim Basinger) and the bad Fatima Blush (Barbara Carerra) -An interlude where Largo and Bond play a video game that demonstrates how ruthless the former can be. -A great theme song performed by Lani Hall. -Several funny lines. For example: Nurse: Mr. Bond, I need a urine sample. If you could fill this beaker for me? James Bond: From here? Trivia: -This was almost going to be released on the same day as the 1983 official Bond movie "Octopussy". Ultimately, Warner Brothers (the ones releasing "Never Say Never Again") and MGM/UA (the ones releasing "Octopussy") released them at different time. -It was because of "Never Say Never Again" that Clint Eastwood's movie "Sudden Impact" was made. According to the trivia for "Sudden Impact" on the IMDB, Warner Brothers did a survey of movie-goers around the time NSNA was to be released. One part of the survey asked them to name an actor and a famous part they played. So many people mentioned Clint Eastwood and "Dirty Harry" that Warner Brothers talked to Clint about the possibility of doing another movie with that character. Because of that, we got "Sudden Impact" several months after "Never Say Never Again".
