A series that was based on true FBI cases that got the support of legendary FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Efrem Zimbalist Jr. starred in the title role of Inspector Lewis Erskine. A hard working, dedicated by the book member of J. Edgar Hoover's finest. He and his partner Agent Jim Rhodes, Tom Colby and Chris Daniels travel the country and solve cases dealing with Communist Spies, Sabotage, Crimes on Government Reservations, Bank Robberies, Kidnapping, Escaped Federal Prisoners, Unlawful Flight to avoid confinement, prosecution, or giving testemoney in a trial, stolen vehicles, sea or air piracy, and extortion. Produced by Quinn Martin Production. The show also received recognition by Ford Motor Company which was a corporate sponsor and product tie-in being that the agents and the characters drove cars during the show.
