Chargeman Ken (チャージマン研!) is Knack Productions (now known as ICHI Pro)' most (in)famous anime ever produced by the company, notorious for poorly animated scenes, nonsense episodic plots and weird voice acting. It consisted of 65 seven-minute episodes and aired on TBS from April to June 1974. After its initial TV run, Chargeman Ken fell into obscurity until 2007, when the series was released on DVD and got uploaded on Nico Nico Douga where it became an Internet phenomenon. Discotek Media currently owns the rights in North America. Ken Izumi disguises himself as a superhero to fight evil aliens named the Juralians.
