Josephina the Whale (くじらのホセフィーナ, Kujira no Josephina) is the anime adaptation of the children's novel "Adios Josefina" by Spanish author Jose Maria Sanchez-Silva. The series was produced by Ashi Productions and Kokusai Eigasha on its first production work. It was broadcasted between April to August 1979 on Tokyo 12 Channel. It follows the story of Santi who befriends a magical flying whale that can take him on mysterious worlds.
