Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest
Debut: July 04, 2003

The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual American hot dog competitive eating competition. It is held each year on Independence Day at Nathan's Famous Corporation's original, and best-known restaurant at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. The contest has been an annual event on the 4th of July every year since 1916 but the contest has been broadcast by ESPN across its suite of channels since 2003. Since 2005, Paul Page has been ESPN's play-by-play announcer for the event, accompanied by color commentator Richard Shea.
