a Japanese magical girl anime series by Toei Animation. It is the sixteenth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure franchise, and the first series released in Japan's new Historical Period. It is directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto (One Piece Film: Gold) and written by Isao Murayama. The series will begin airing in all ANN stations in Japan on February 3, 2019, succeeding Hugtto! PreCure in its inital time slot.[1] The series' main theme is Imagination, with Outer Space and Constellations being the Cures's main motifs.The balance of the universe, maintained by twelve Star Princesses who reside in the Star Palace, is suddenly thrown into disorder when the palace is attacked by a mysterious enemy. While searching for the twelve Princess Star Color Pens needed to revive the princesses, Lala, Prunce, and Fuwa, aliens from another planet, arrive on Earth and meet the imaginative Hikaru Hoshina. Receiving a Star Color Pendant and one of the Star Color Pens, Hikaru transforms into the legendary PreCure, Cure Star. Joined by Lala and two other girls, Erena and Madoka, Hikaru leads the Star Twinkle PreCure as they seek to revive the Star Princesses and fight against evil.[3]
