Two years before the Civil War, a slave named Django has his freedom bought by German dentist King Schultz. Together, they go into bounty-hunting tracking down the most-wanted criminals in the Deep South. Their travels lead them to the Mississippi plantation of the infamous Calvin Candie where the deadly duo devise a plan to reunite Django with his long-lost wife Broomhilda who is enslaved by Candie and buy her freedom.
