Ruth Stoops is pretty much down on her luck. She's living on the streets, loves to huff anything to get her high (from spray paint to model glue), and finds herself getting arrested for the umpteenth time. What's even worse is that she's pregnant again (she has and had lost 4 kids already) and the judge gives her a choice: either get an abortion or face a felony charge. Things get really crazy for Ruth when she finds herself torn between the God-fearing pro-life Baby-Savers and a group of pro-choice feminists. Each side wants to her to join forces to get their "message" out to others, but Ruth, well...she just wants to party. Directed by Alexander Payne.
