A professional thief finds himself in an unlikely situation after his partner ditches him, he's on the run, and to make matters worse he kidnaps a quarlleing couple that remind him of his own parents. He finds himself having to take on the task of being their marital "ref" if he is going to make it through Christmas Eve night.
