an animated television series based on the Japanese video game series of the same name by Capcom, developed by Man of Action Studios and produced by Dentsu Entertainment USA, and DHX Studios for Cartoon Network and Family Chrgd. The show draws primarily inspiration from the Classic series, rather than the other variations of the video game franchise such as Mega Man X or Mega Man Battle Network. It premiered on Cartoon Network in the United States on August 5, 2018 with an on-demand release on August 3 with a full ten episodes.[2][3] It is the third Mega Man TV series to air on Cartoon Network following MegaMan: NT Warrior and Mega Man Star Force's brief runs in 2004 and 2007.Aki Light is a regular, upbeat, robot schoolboy. He lives in the futuristic world of Silicon City, co-inhabited by robots and humans. But this robot boy has a secret… Deep within his programming lie protocols that can transform him into the powerful hero, Mega Man! When the villainous Sgt. Night and his evil team of Robot Masters emerge with ill-intentions, Mega Man dedicates himself to protecting the citizens of Silicon City. Equipped with his Mega Buster arm cannon and the ability to copy the powers of his opponents, he bravely battles the wickedest of villains. He is aided by Mega Mini,[4][5] a small robot inside his head, and other characters such as his pet Rush the robot dog, and his human sister Suna Light.[2]
