What is your favorite movie based on a Roald Dahl book? You know, he wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Fantastic Mr. Fox and many other classics. I am sure many of you read some of his books for book reports or because they were the cool books to read in the 80's. Here are all the recognizable movies credited to Roald Dahl in IMDB.Com. Which on is your favorite? Mine is witches. Angelica Houston is amazing in that movie! Ok, here are the choices:

-Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (he helped write this plot)
-Willy Wonka and the Cholcolate Factory (old version)
-The BFG (a very good animated movie)
    -James and the Giant Peach
    -Matilda
-Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (new version)
    -The Witches

Also, Fantastic Mr. Fox is currently in production. This is my all-time favorite Roald Dahl book. Can't wait to see it in the theatre!

Willy Wonka. Just something so sweet and good about that movie. It is just as enjoyable to watch now as ever.

Did he write Georges Marvelous Medicine? I loved that book.

The old Willy Wonka for sure. I found the new one just plain bizarre.

WILLY WONKA and the chocolate factory. The new one can never match up to the old one. Besides, the original is more of a hit than the new version can ever get.

Even though Willy Wonka is a classic and an amazing movie, I'm gonna have to say James and the Giant Peach. I remember reading the book and then falling in love with the movie. It changed my life.

I put Matilda but Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a close second.

I selected Matilda but "Witches" was a very good movie as well.
