    All Harry Potter movies.

Agreed on all and add All the Fast and the Furious films. There are way better films out there with car chases in them. My older brother likes these films and I think he is crazy. People need to start watching The Road Warrior more for real car chases.

Anything else that I find depressing is overrated as well. I want to be happy with life and not depressing myself to no end.

Most modern films in general are overrated because they are unoriginal and have shaky cameras that make it look like it is being filmed with a video camera.

I HATE digital camerawork, Go back to film!

I thought it was a commercial for Reese's Pieces, and Pepsi.

    The Blair Witch Project

For an extremely low budget film, that became huge in 1999. How many references and clichés were made in TV and movies soon after?

Napoleon Dynamite, though not due to any sort of media hype. It's just the film that everyone and their brother claims is the funniest movie ever. It really isn't all that fantastic.

Yep. The only time I really laughed is at the very end, where Kip is singing that corny song to LaFawnduh.

Any movie starring Will Ferrel, I don't find that man funny at all.

Agreed!! And don't forget Adam Sandler!

Office Space. It was amusing, and it had its moments, but it wasn't the laugh riot other people made it out to be.

I dunno, I kinda liked Office Space. Especially when they go psycho on that fax machine And when Peter bitches about Joanna sleeping with Lumbergh. (wrong one, but you know...)

I don't know why that film was so popular. I had more fun watching paint dry.

Maybe I'm cynical, but I can do without the Harry Potter, Star Wars, Fast and the Furious type movies. It's all hype. Oh, and please, no more movies with washed-up SNL stars!

when something is paodied or referenced it doesn't mean it's overrated it means it's a prominent part of popular culture...wich it was athe time.

To each his own. I loved it! Of course it's since been met with wannabes like "Hero", but Ang Lee did it first and most believably. It's such an artistic movie.

most Believably?? I'm sorry but running on walls and jumping 40 feet in the air is NOT believeable. I think that's what ruined it for me.

not saying it's not a good movie. I just frickin hate wire fighting

I didn't mean realistic as such. He did IT most believably, I said, and by 'it' I meant that whole gravity-defying thing. I thought Hero just took that wire-fighting too far.

Stargate and Romeo And Juliette would have to be two of the most hiped movies ever.

They were definately in the top 3 of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The 2003 remake of texas chainsaw massacre. It was okay, but the way they promoted the movie with commercials...geez i'd expect more.
