It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

I'v read that Steven Speilberg will be directing. Tis should be better than the one that came out in the 80's. They should know better than to kill Optimous Prime off this time.

I don't know how you could take transforming robots and picture something like power rangers.

It's not going to be kiddy, it's going to be aimed at the star wars fan-base. Producer Don Murphy wants to make this movie so that hardcore fans can say, "now THAT is what a transformers movie is supposed to be!"

He, as well as Spielberg, feel compelled to stay true to the essence of the series. The special effects will be very sophisticated, no people in big robot suits standing over a miniature city.

All the transformers will be the way they should be, in vehicles that actually look like real human vehicles. Although there is going to be changes to practical reasons. Megatron will be a tank and Soundwave (so far) will be a helicopter. Optimus is going to be a good old fashioned red 18-wheeler. Just as god intended

As long as things keep rolling, it should be great. And there is going to be more movies. Murphy, Spielberg, and Bay are working on this as a trilogy, with Unicron making an appearance in a later movie.

If all goes well, we'll have another good sci-fi movie trilogy that fans can sink their teeth into.

Is anyone else kind of put off by the fact that Arcee won't be in this movie or am I the only one?

And may he stick to those words. I look forward to seeing it.

    I'm glad, and also concerned.

i just hope its not a big hipe like other movies for it to be a flop...if i could have one thing in the movie.. it would be to have as many as the OG voices as possible..but i doubt that will happen...

I heard that George Clooney might be a possibility to do the voice of Optimus Prime, but this is not entirely official. Anyway, I plan to see this movie too, but hope that it doesn't end up turning to crap like some of the other movies I've looked forward to in the past (e.g. "Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within") The CGI also needs to look REAL! Otherwise, I look forward to seeing it when it comes out...

Because in the end, the suits don't care about making the fans happy. They care about making as much $ as possible and Clooney has alot more drawing power than Peter Cullen.

Yes, but the film will ultimately do better if it has some stars attached to it, instead of a bunch voice actors the average person hasn't heard of. Someone who may have never heard of the transformers might see a commercial for it, think it looks cool and end up paying to watch the new George Clooney sci-fi film. I agree with you all the way, they should use the original voice actors, but you've seen what hollywood can do to comic/cartoon/video game based movies in an attempt to make them more appealing to the mass audience
