Any animal phobias?

Mine is any creature from the arachnid family. I can just about find something cute in any living creature (including lions, bears, and sharks) but spiders have ZERO cute features. (No offense to the spider owner anti-defamation league.)

Something about a creature having six legs, eight eyes, hairy legs, hissing sounds, webbing, poisonious mandibles, and silent movement make for a very alien creature. I've had nightmares before about giant cosmic spiders that traveled from solar system to solar system feeding off world populations.

I try not to kill any (if I can help it) because they eat all the insects around but their just so damn creepy. ops:

Any one else got any animal phobias?

Ever since I saw "stand by me" I have had a problem with leeches! The thought of a bug sucking my blood is horrible!

Ants, and, I am totally not kidding, I am afraid of baby humans. Cartoons like Rugrats are OK, but ughhhh. If people can be afraid of clowns, I can be afraid of babies.

There is a spider I saw on the net it's called a camel spider . This spider lives in the deserts of Africa and Southern States of the United States and it is huge. I have heard and read stories about this spider from people who have been in the army . One guys said that the spider when it kills it's prey that you can hear the bones cracking of the thing it's killing . If you want to take a look at this spider go to www.camelspiders.net and be prepared because these pictures are crazy.

no matter what anyone says camel spiders are nasty they are the only spider that chews its food and they are difficult to keep in captivity over here.

Most definately spiders.

Now I can only remember the time my second grade teacher bought a turantula so it could be the class pet.

One day, over the weekend, it escaped. And everyone thought it had died in the ventalation ducts.

Well, about seven years later, when the school was being relocated, the janitors found it. It was in the school's boiler room. And not only was it there, it had also built a nest, complete with about two hundred babies.

No wonder it was always cold in the school.....

Anyways ... I'm afraid of all spiders, no matter how big or small. Even if it is one of those really tiny spiders that can harm me in no way, I'm still afraid of them...

BUGS!!! Oh Lord how I hate bugs, spiders and clowns. I classify clowns as bugs because I've seen IT. Tim Curry was just a giant spider. My hybrid fear of bugs and clowns continues.

Squid......They have to be the scariest i have ever heard of in certain tales giant ones attacked ships.

There are still reports of large squid attacking ocean liners but since they cant grip on it they get caught up in its propellers. I would rarther face a shark than one of those a shark can kill you pretty quick and you dont really notice the pain untill afterwards if you escape a shark but a squid has a beak which swivels as it bites it can only kill you by tearing you apart piece by piece a slow and very painful death.

Spiders. Can't stand the eight-legged freaks. Hell, right now I disabled the images on firefox just in case someone thinks it's cute to post a gigantic spider picture in this thread. Spiderman is cool, though.

Scorpions are almost as scary, but only because their twin pincers and their venomous stinger make them not look like spiders.

Slugs and snails are gross, too. I swear they're alien with the four prongs on their heads and such.

I hate house spiders they creep me out with there speed but they cant hurt you. But im not afraid of tarantulas well unless they are the evil ones. But other tarantulas dont frighten me because they are huge and not really skittish like house spiders.

money spiders he tiny little ones that cant hurt you apparantly have deadly venom and so do daddy long legs it was proven they both have more toxin than a black widow its just there fangs are not strong enough to penetrate our skin.

im sorry MsEtCaHn but to point out a nasty piece of work this one here is a fang wielding maniac a cobalt blue.

Well, spiders I can agree with and I actually can find cuteness in some things but two of the more subtle things about animals creep me out.
1. THe way some animals have no sympathy for any life. Sucgh as sharks spiders and viruses. It really creeps me out. What if they WERE the dominant species? Of course, most higher animals tend to work together but still, it creeps me out. ANd that's why Cthullu (Damnit, I can't spell it right) is so popular.
2. DOg penises. Seriously, even on "fixed" dogs it just seems to coome out of them. SLowly throbbing like a big, useless(At least to them) lump of flesh. ANd, if y6ou ask, no I'm not a sociopathic psycho, I'm in my teens (A hard time you probably know). PUBERTY IS HARD OKAY!...

To be honest when it comes to viruses i believe its the planets way of trying to kill us off. Is it not strange that when a deadly virus comes around and wipes some of us out...we create a vaccine or we become immune to it, Another comes along to finish the job. When i think about it the earth itself scares me because it always creates something to wipe us or something else out. wow we were created and we wipe everything out we destroy trees and plants we slaughter animals and we destroy ourselves.

We found a dead mouse in our house. And it still stinks. So there could be another dead mouse somewhere. Maybe that's why the ants come, although, it would attract flies, wouldn't it? But the ants come in my bathroom for no good reason. In fact, any insect scares me, even moths and ladybugs. But I can look at tarantulas. If there was some way to take the venom out, I may have one as a pet.

I use to watch a lot of Jack Hannah, and big birds like emus scare me. When I was little and at the county fair I saw an ostrich and it was in a cage. It looked like it was ready to attack me. I've been scared of big birds ever since. But not Big Bird cause he's a puppet.

Spiders first and foremost for me. After that it's about 99% of water life, 90% of insect life, and 50% of regular land life.

I'm more or less a wuss about anything that's not relatively domesticated. Cat's are just awesome, though. I can't imagine how some people can hate them so.
