the highest i've ever gotten is to level 20, not sure how many lines i had or what my score was though...i did it once when i was in high school (i used to bring my gameboy to school everyday and play tetris and alleyway) and then i did it again sometime last year. i remember that there was some sort of special ending. i believe it had something to do w/ a rocket being launched.

lol..now that you got me thinking about it i just got a little chuckle. i used to play my gameboy all thru chemistry class and the teacher didn/t really mind cause somehow i was actually doing well in the class. every now and then he would tap his hands on my desk and tell me i had to put it away cause we were gonna take a test so i'd pause the game take the test then go right back to the game. every time we got our tests back the kid next to me would snatch mine out of my hands and compare scores. he never once beat me on a test and he used to get so mad cause he studied just about every day and all i'd ever do it play my gameboy.

just so you know, i'm not a brain or anything, i was actually in the lower level classes in high school. i just did rather well in them but the teachers all felt that they'd rather have me doing well in the lower classes than struggling and failing in the higher classes.

I beat the game on every mode as a 9 year old and retired from my tetris career.

Good way to pass the time.

there were these crappy "30 games in 1" games that were selling at my local mall a couple of years back, but they were crap... they were just rehashes of classic games, like one where you were a pikachu in a super mario bros game... how lame is that...

The Tetris lawsuit arrived at as to both Nintendo and Tengen (the home video game publishing division of Atari) having released their versions of the same game in 1989.

Nintendo would eventually win out as being the North American and Japanese home video game console rights publisher (because Nintendo would then use their version of Tetris as a pack-in for their new Game Boy portable introduced in the summer of 1989), although the Nintendo vs. Tengen battle would continue to thrive until 1993. The results of Nintendo being the winner of the Tetris home console rights publishing lawsuit was that all the Tengen games would have Nintendo's seal of approval removed; thus making the Tengen version of Tetris quite rare and valuable in the collector's market; as well as all Tengen titles initially approved by Nintendo.
