Since I didn't grow up with "new Nick" since I'm outside of the demographic and age range to be watching it at all, I'd have to give the biased answer and say "old Nick", but only for the reason I mentioned above.

There should be a topic about The new [email protected] vs the old [email protected]

I've never seen Avatar, but I like Spongebob. That show is stupidly funny.

The only good shows to watch on Nickelodeon to this day are: "Spongebob Squarepants", "Fairly Oddparents", and "Back To The Barnyard".

I'm getting so tired of seeing CGI to find any appeal in Back To The Barnyard. Nick should have stopped when Jimmy Neutron ended.

Catscratch looks kinda weird. I've seen commercials for it. I don't know much about Danny Phantom, other than the animation is similar to that of FoP.

yea the majority of nick's cartoons are pretty mindless with low levels of cheap humor. think ren and stimpy on a grand scale. granted, i was a fan of ren and stimpy back in the day, and the mindless humor is what made it good. but what gave nick the edge was its diversity. it mixed mindless humor, teenage drama, wild game show, wild talk show (what would you do reminds me of a kids version of jerry springer), and more. now it is just a constant bombardment of tedious and mindless programming, with the occasional teenage drama mixed in. but now instead of having origional show concepts, the dramas are pretty much cheap rip offs of whats been done on other channels for years. it is such a dissapointment to see what was once an entertainment powerhouse, a trailblazer, and a symbol for kids become television's equivalent of a broken down race horse.

to me, nickelodeon died when they ripped the slime geyser out of the ground at universal studios down in orlando, florida, and closed nickelodeon studios-where many of the shows we have all been talking about were origionally filmed.

i think catscratch is cute, but not nearly as funny as any of the nick shows.
i never knew that they ripped the slime geyser out of the ground. i could seriously cry right now.

I have to say that I fully support "Zoey 101," not because I really like watching it, but because my friend Lisa has a recurring role on that show.

    Now on to other business:

I hate to break it to you, but the stuff Nick had on when we were kids was mindless too. It's just that we were too young to know it.

Which brings me to my next question, which is: WHAT ARE YOU RETARDS DOING STILL WATCHING CHILDRENS' TV?????

Which brings me to the next point, which is: HOW MANY EFFING THREADS ARE YOU RETARDS GOING TO MAKE ON THIS TOPIC?????

I made a thread against the topic in the War Room but it got deleted along with a number of other threads.

This is why I made my signature.

What? I highly doubt those shows would be considered 'old Nick'.

At least I hope it's a joke... sometimes it's hard to spot sarcasm through text especially when they're poor typists.

    RIP Classic Nick 1979-2000.
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

It does if you're into teenybopper dramas and bad animation.

When there's no more ideas for shows, they'll have to go back to showing classic shows; they'll HAVE to!

I may be alone but I don't really consider stuff like Wild Thornberries and Rocket Power to be Classic Nick (yet). To me, that's when I pretty much stopped watching...then again, I was out of the target audience by that time.
