    Between the 1960s-1980s pop culture was at its peak, from TV shows, music, cartoons, film's, fashion etc etc.

    What has happened to pop culture of the last 27 years or so?

    '90s and '00s pop culture was big too. I must admit, though, no longer are comic book characters spawning words in the English vocabulary (like Bizarro and Brainiac.)

    90s and 09s pop culture was lackluster and everything just seemed to have plateaued. There wasn't anything new or innovative except gaming consoles and the internet.
